In 2005, we were commissioned by the Mississippi Development Authority to produce a pictorial booklet to promote the qualities of life in Laurel, Ellisville and Hattiesburg. “Quality of Place” is an important factor in recruiting new business and families to a community. Here, we had three communities, each distinctly different and unique in its own way. Our concept for the design and title of the piece was simple: PlaceX3 (place times three). With brief text and strong imagery, this was a dream project for a graphic design firm. It took almost two years (including a serious interruption by Katrina) to shoot photography, write copy and design the final product called PlaceX3.
